Skunk Works Goes Full-Blown
Posted June 2nd, 2010We’re always trying new things at SwingVine and lately we’ve been experimenting with the iPhone platform. As we played around, what started out as a skunk works side-project got more and more positive feedback from friends and early adopters until it took on a life of its own.
Today, we’re introducing this new project as a full-blown product. It’s called SwingVine Gallery and is available as both an iPhone app and web experience. Think of it as Flickr meets foursquare – a way to showcase photos online beautifully while layering on locations associated with those photos in a fun way.

Besides displaying your photos and places with visual panache, SwingVine Gallery breathes some fresh air in this space by adding fun and mobility. On the iPhone, the app lets you use flick-based navigation, a multi-shot camera, check-ins, and simplified photo organization to make managing your photo gallery more enjoyable and streamlined. On the web, SwingVine Gallery provides vanity addresses and travel maps to help your content shine as you share it on Facebook, over email, or via other social networks. And it’s all free!

And this is just the tip of the iceberg. Look for many more new and exciting features on the horizon.
